MY COMMENTS:
This is offered more for historical purposes. Houdini
wasn't a mentalist but he certainly was involved in seances
and psychic work, though he wasn't an advocate of it. I
think most know that Harry spent many years after his mother
died trying to contact her in the spirit world and debunking
all those who had false claims of abilities of speaking to
the dead. There are techniques exposed and, as I said, it
does make fascinating reading from a historical perspective.
Especially interesting for mentalists would be the "Miracle
Mongers," "A Magician Among the Spirits," and "Houdini
Exposes the Tricks Used by the Boston Medium 'Margery'."
