MY COMMENTS:
Richard Mark cemented his reputation with Mind Warp, a
decade-old book that was recently re-released. This is his
follow-up and, like its predecessor, is packed full of
ideas. The 176-page, 6"x9"(approx.) book is divided into
eight sections: Up Close, Fourth Dimensional Encounters,
Seance for Light Entertainment, Unusual, Technology Light,
Amazing Apparatus, Warped Reality, Q&A For Today, How the
Mind Works. There are more than fifty effects and articles
in this slim book. Richard's style is that he summarizes
the effect and gives brief, sufficient explanations. He
does not include full scripts. This is not a drawback, nor
a consideration, just a description for informational
purposes.
I know that many may want me to compare this work with
Richard's first stellar effort. I'll leave that up to you.
I will say that I liked a lot of ideas in Richard's first
book, though I really started using them a few years after I
read them. I haven't finished this book yet, but I can say
that so far this book has me thinking and there are quite a
few ideas that are keeping me up at night thinking about
them. Definitely recommended.
