THE BLURB:
A spectator thinks of their favorite movie. You reach into
their mind and name that movie. Using a clever gimmick and a
very simple handling, mind-reading rarely gets this direct.
Comes with custom-made cards and an instructional DVD...
Popcorn and candy not included.
MY COMMENTS:
What a wonderful idea for a peek device. I can say that
it's designed to look like a stack of business cards. You
can definitely end this by passing out your business cards.
Here's the basic routine:
A stack of cards with a movie screen on it is and one is
handed to a participant. She writes down the title of a
favorite movie on the white screen on the card. Turning it
face down, she now sticks it in the middle of the stack of
cards. The performer then takes a business card and writes
something down. It is, natch, the film title that the
participant was thinking about.
The principle used is certainly not a new one (Danny credits
Bob Solari), but the use of this principle as applied to
movie-screen business-sized cards is Danny's contribution.
This very versatile utility item is easy to do, re-sets
quickly, and is great for walkaround. You could use this to
replace your peek wallet, if you'd like, and you are not
restricted to using movie titles. Bob Cassidy uses the
movie screen motif for all kinds of thoughts, so
participants can draw pictures, write numbers, or anything
else on the movie screen.
The package comes polybagged with one hundred movie screen
cards, the gimmick, and an instructional DVD which contains
Danny's performance of Sneak Preview at Mindvention 2009
plus handling details. Additional movie screen cards are
available from Danny Archer for $12 for 100.
