MY COMMENTS:
This is, without question, one of the top ten products any
mentalist should have and use. Words are far more important
to the working mentalist than to the magician, although
magicians certainly can find this essential, too. Using the
right words can subtlety elevate one's performance into a
miracle, unforgettable moment. And that should be the goal
of any performer.
Many detractors have dismissed Knepper's use of NLP for
various reasons including that they believe it doesn't work,
that Kenton has simplified NLP, or that his work isn't
original. Well, I'd rather listen to WW than have to read
some classic verbose NLP manual. Also, to me, most of what
is here is psychology. These words, phrases, and sentence
patterns affect the mind and alter people's receptions of
what has happened and what will happen. They also subtly
control their minds to follow directions and believe what
the performer wants them to believe.
Most importantly, they work. This series of audios (12 CDs
worth of audio) demonstrate that. I certainly use Wonder
Words in much of what I do. There are dozens of different
techniques taught within this series and I'm certainly not
going to rank which set is better than the other two. One
needs to listen to and have all three.
As I said at the top, I strongly feel that this work is
extremely important to any mystery performer, but essential
to the working mentalist. Subtleties, as demonstrated by
Banachek in his 3 volume set of books, is essential to the
success of a working mentalist's act and this set is all
