Dream Prediction Lite is the ideal prediction routine with
no need for offstage assistants. With Dream Prediction Lite,

Here is an example of one routine:
The magician talks about his dream holiday and tells the
audience that he wrote it down on a large piece of paper and
sealed it inside an envelope which can be seen at all times.
The audience can see the prediction through the envelope at
all times.
A spectator is asked to call out the name of a cruise ship
they would like to travel on, the performer writes the
answer down on a Clipboard for verification later on.
Another spectator is asked to call out a destination they
would like to visit, again it is written down on the
clipboard.
A third spectator is asked to count the change in their
pocket and the amount is again written down on the
clipboard. This spectator comes on stage to verify each of
the items called out. The envelope is shown and opened, the
audience can see the prediction fall out of the envelope and
the spectator reads the prediction which matches EXACTLY
what the audience chose.
This is an extremely adaptable routine, as you can use any
presentation you like, such as a "Dream Date," a "Dream
Car," or a "Menu" type routine in a restaurant. You are
limited only by your imagination.
Everything in this routine is worked out through hundreds of
performances, making it very easy to perform, giving you

MY COMMENTS:
Romhany is a worker and his stuff has, for the most past,
always been practical material that has been solid and
tested. Also, he's a magician, but he has released some
useful mentalism products. It did surprise me a bit then
that I found DREAM PREDICTION LITE to be a solid, powerful
version of Confabulation, with some really nice touches.
A few years back, I purchased the original version of this,
DREAM PREDICTION, and was very impressed. It's the version
that I began to use. There were some really nice touches
that I liked, such as the window envelope in which the
audience can clearly see the prediction at ALL times,
including watching it being taken out of the envelope, and a
very sly bit with the marker. Also, this was designed to
pack flat and play big. Romhany uses this on cruise ships,
after all. And I've been using this as the effect I use
when I have time for one effect.
However, oddly enough, because I don't play to any
significantly large crowds, I began using a smaller
envelope. It's the same size that Romhany uses for Dream
Prediction Lite. However, he added one additional move that
I didn't. It's somewhat bold, but it certainly works, and
gives the whole procedure of being totally hands off,
examinable, and with everything in full view. By the way,
the other difference with the original Dream Prediction is
that a music stand was used to hang the envelope from. You
can see that version on the CD included in the package.
The package includes a DVD (with homemade production values,
but that doesn't detract from the thorough discussion of the
routine or the demo videos), the Dream Prediction Update
book, clipboard, envelope, drawing pad, and beach ball
(which you don't have to use to select participants, of
course). I did not see a marker pen included, as the blurb
mentions, but markers are easy to get.
Okay, let's get to the "elephant in the room," or the big
concern here, which is the price tag, because $200 for a
Confabulation routine seems quite out of line, and for the
experienced professional, especially one who already has
many versions of the Alan Shaxon classic, it may well be.
But this is a professional version, designed for corporate
or larger audiences, and one paid performance will cover the
costs of this. It's a thoroughly tested, ready-to-go
package and routine that obviously has the performance
experience behind it. I certainly like the aforementioned
touches that Paul Romhany added. Everything (almost) is
included and you can perform this right out of the box, so
to speak. If you don't already have and use a Confabulation
version or if you're looking for a version which plays
"big," then you should seriously consider this investment.
