Shoot Ogawa
THE BLURB:
This is one of Shoot Ogawa's most unique effects. Shoot will teach you to "magnetize" Silverware, salt shakers, and metal object with detailed step by step instructions. You would even be able to "magnetize" plastic, paper and many other objects! Contents: * Basic routine * Paper Bills & Spoons * Deck of Cards & Metal * Video Cassette Tape & Silverware * Batteries * Wallet & Credit Card * Salt Shakers * Plastic Objects & Metal Glass * Explanation of List of Techniques * How to Practice * Theory (Three Different elements) * Psychology behind tricks Running Time: Approximately 61mins MY COMMENTS: I remember being up quite late with the guys after an evening at the Magic Castle. We had headed for a very late night snack to one of Hollywood's finest eateries, IHOP, where Shoot stopped by. He demonstrated this. I'd never seen anything like it and I was extremely excited with what he was doing. Now, granted, this is not my cup of tea, but that's because I don't really do metalbending or PK stuff. Anyone who does do any kind of PK stuff, though, will thrill to this to this new, very unique must-have plot to their PK repertoire. Just grab an item, "magnetize" it, and show how it attracts other stuff. This is perfect at the dinner table, but it can also be used for other things. So what is it? Simply, you are creating the illusion that items are magnetized and then demagnetized. And that's it. Just like a mime creates the illusion that he's trapped inside a box (sorry for that reference, but it is appropriate), these techniques will show how to create the illusion of magnetism. Like in pantomime, there are no gimmicks and it's all in the handling. And, unless you know the subtleties, it will be hard for laymen to recreate. There's not much else to say. Shoot spends just about an hour explaining the "Laws of Attraction" on this DVD and gives you everything you need to know. This is certainly not something that you can master 5 minutes after watching the DVD. It will take some practice, but it's not difficult. The practice needed is for timing and handling. And, obviously, everyone is different, so some may pick it up within an hour and some may take much longer than that. If you're a PK worker, then this is brand new, exciting, offbeat, and fun PK application is a must-have to check out.
