Max Gordon
THE BLURB:
This amazing demonstration of the power of the Pecloba will leave your assistants bewildered as to how they can perform amazing feats of strength and flexability with no idea as to the forces at work. Can be performed as walkabout mentalism or a full scale cabaret piece with 3 assistants. File will be despatched within 24 hours of payment. MY COMMENTS: Some of you may have seen the advertisements or mall demonstrations of those power balance bracelets. They are being sold under various names and at various prices - all overpriced, of course. The demonstrations show how one is unbalanced until the bracelet is worn. Experienced mentalists know that these hucksters, and let's not make any pretense about that, are simply using body magic, or the Georgia Wonder techniques. Max Gordon has taken one three-phase demonstration that is used to sell these bracelets and explains it so that you can do the same thing. Instead of a power balance bracelet, though, he's created a symbol called the Pecloba that is written on paper and when held will supposedly give one balance. Of course, this works through the body magic, or Georgia Wonder, techniques which are what is beig used to sell the power balance bracelet. There is a kicker ending to this routine that goes beyond the basic demonstration. The paper with the symbol turns out to be blank which proves that the strength was just a matter of belief. This last bit uses a very old principle that I'm sure you know. For those that think this ending is too magic-y, one can certainly use a different ending or altered presentation. Teaching many of the Georgia Magnet techniques is somewhat difficult without illustrations and there are none here in this nine page downloadable PDF, save for the reproduction of the Pecloba symbol. However, Gordon has provided a link to a video demonstration of this so that you can see how it all works, and that makes easier to learn. Those who are familiar with the Georgia Wonder techniques may not find anything new in this other than a very nicely put together routine. But it is a strong routine, very topical, and one that can be done impromptu for just about any venue. If you're not familiar with the Georgia Wonder material, this is a great introduction to it as you're provided with a ready-to-go routine that plays very well.
