- PEEK ME
Peek me is Pascal's version of peeking the serial number of
a borrowed bill. Impromptu, easy to perform: a real serial
peeker. DVD describes the effect performed with a Euro
Banknote, but it can be easily adapted to any foreign or
domestic bill.
- LOGOS
Logos is Pascal's notepad effect that uses the Rashomon
principle, with an amazing simplicity. This is a great
introduction to pumping right here, and again, the logic and
the construction of the trick make it so easy to perform
that you will hold a winner right here. Perfect for table
hopping, instantly reset, I dare you not to want to perform
that effect as soon as you see it !

This is the classic 21 card trick effect revisited and mixed
with pumping and techniques to cut it short, and fool any

to perform a great impromptu effect at any time using only
borrowed objects. Performable by a 4 year old, it's a great
teaching / give away trick even though extremely strong so

using a business card. Another ultra easy to perform trick,
that can be adapted and used for a lot of effects.

The above is from an opening crawl quoting Pascal de
Clermont, who is one of France's leading entertainers and
mentalists. And that indicates that this DVD is intended
for magicians who wish to become mentalists. Professional
mentalists will not learn any new principles, although
Pascal de Clermont does have a few nice touches on these
classics.
As an introductory DVD about mentalism for magicians, the
material is certainly strong and easy to perform so that
magicians can learn the subtleties of mentalism and the
differences between the two arts. In fact, for those looking for getting into mentalism and looking for simple, yet professional, routines, I'd definitely recommend this.
The DVD is multilingual. You can choose French or the
dubbed in English version. What I find interesting is that
French seems to be the language this was originally shot in,
yet this was shot in California. So he must have found a
bunch of folks who can speak French, or pretend to. This is
not a criticism at all, but an observation that I find
amusing and curious. (And I mean no disrespect to the
French.)
