You can tell which hand a spectator is holding a coin in.
This can be repeated and performed with other small objects.
Blindfolded
Show the spectators 5 coins and mark one of them with an
"X". Now let someone blindfold you and mix the coins. You
will immediately know which coin is the marked coin.
Smell it
Give your spectator your finger ring to hold in one of his
hands. You will know in which hand he holds the finger ring
just by smelling their hand.

MY COMMENTS:
The good news is that this little device does what is
advertised. The gimmick itself, which resembles a long
Gelcap pill in shape and size, certainly is small enough to
fit in a TT or under a watch or between the fingers, etc, is
very easy to use and maintain. The battery is at one end of
the gimmick and you just pry it out with a pen tip or paper
clip and put in the new one.
Besides the device and an extra battery, the package also
includes a very nice little leather holder for the unit.
The DVD instructional video, which is about ten minutes
long, is a silent movie. There are title cards to explain a
few points.
There are some considerations, though. First, the battery
that comes with it must be instantly replaced. The
batteries don't last long in this unit because the tiny
device uses lots of battery and, due to the small size of
the battery, it uses up the power very quickly. In other
words, if you use this device for a smash 'n stab roulette
routine, you're asking for some serious consequences. I
wouldn't trust or recommend this unit for anything that
could be dangerous.
Second, it does require a fairly strong magnetic item to
read. You'll have to experiment with the type of item that
you want to use this to detect.
Finally, the range is only about three to four inches,
depending on the strength of the magnet. And, remember, all
it does is detect items that have magnetic quality.
To be fair, I do have to say that I'm biased against most
electronics. If I can accomplish a similar routine with
props that don't cost hundreds of dollars and won't have me
worrying about whether the battery will die during
performance, I will. And the only electronic devices that
I've seen that I can support and get excited about are the
ones from Craig Filicetti at Pro-Mystic.
But this costs far less than most electronic items and, if
you want one to play and experiment with, this is one I'd
recommend for that purpose. As I said, this is a good
little device that should do what you expect it to do. If
that's something that you're looking for, then you'll
definitely love this.
