THE BLURB:
For those who have read Tarot With 'Tude, Palm Reading Plain
and Simple, or enjoyed out Tarot or Palm reading CD sets, as
well as the recent Tarot DVD release that has received
wonderful critical acclaim- we now are pleased to release
Palm Reading Secrets.

This Two DVD set will have approximately three hours of
video instruction supported by various animated segments to
make learning Palm Reading FOR REAL as easy as it can be.
Dean has taught many to read palms and knows how to teach a
unique system that prepares you for almost anything you may
come accross in a palm reading and readies you to interpret
it, EVEN if it is the first time you have seen that
particular line or symbol. In addition, there will be DVD
ROM bonus content, and once released this will also include
a support page, as many of our products do, to add continued
value in the form of articles, downloads and Q and A's for
purchases of this set.

You will learn about the two different schools of palmistry,
The Mountains of the hands, Elemental hand shapes, The
Lines, Fingers and more. In addition, Dean teaches ADVANCED
material about the significance of shapes, and unusual
things one might see in a hand, as well as the significance
of JEWELRY when word on the hand or fingers- material RARELY
taught in Palm Reading classes.

Dean has been a professional reader for years in
entertainment and serious reading environments, and will
discuss some of the business ins and outs of what it means
to be a reader and how to do what you do from a place of
sound ethics - whatever you believe about doing readings.

MY COMMENTS:
Like Dean Montalbano's previous instructional DVD set, Tarot
Reading Secrets, this one provides all the basics and more
that you need to learn how to read palms. To be clear, this
is not something you can watch and master within minutes.
It will take time and you will have to review sections of
this just as anything else you seriously study. But thanks
to an easy to understand teaching structure and
explanations, it makes learning this skill much easier.

There a few minor issues that I'll point out. The first is a
stylistic one. From what I've read on the subject, the best
way to do a reading is start by examining the shape of the
hand and fingers and then moving to the lines and mounds.
Montalbano even does this in the sample reading. Yet, the
disc begins by discussing all the mounds and then moves into
the lines and, later, the hand and finger shapes. This is
not a major criticism, but I do know that learning the hand
and finger shapes is a bit easier to start with than the
mounds (I still haven't learned them all).

Secondly, the first disc is nearly two hours packed with
information. The second disc is only one hour. On the
Tarot DVD set, Montalbano provides a few readings. Here,
there is only one. And, with this subject, I think it would
have been essential to include at least three different
readings. This is a DVD, not a book, and seeing and hearing
an actual reading is what one expects to take advantage of
in a format like this.

Finally, Montalbano opens this DVD set by explaining that
much of the business end was discussed in the first set,
TAROT READING SECRETS, and that he'll discuss them in this
second set, but not to the length he did in the first. This
should be sold as a stand-alone set. Everything should have
been covered. If that means repeating info, so be it.
Montalbano could very easily have said at the point where
he's discussing it that the following info is also on the
previous set and those who have it can move on to the next
chapter.

None of these issues lessen my opinion of these as a
valuable learning aid for the subject. And this is only
two-disc DVD set I can find on the Internet, which means
this has more material than other DVDs I can find (at the
time of this writing, at least). Contentwise, the first dics
covers Mountains, Lines, Fingers, Hand Shape, Designs,
Jewelry. The second disc covers Philosophies, Where Can I Do
This, The Show, Sample Readings. If you're looking for a
good DVD to learn the art of palm-reading, this certainly is
your best choice.
