MY COMMENTS:
I believe I've said this before, but Wayne Dobson is one of
the few magicians whose output mentalists cannot ignore.
He's so prolific, like others such as David Regal and Jay
Sankey, that when he puts out something really good,
mentalists tend to overlook it.

This is one of those good ones.

At first glance, one might think it's just another variation
of Free Will, but the principle and handling of this has
nothing to do with that. There's actually several
principles involved. Like Free Will, there's nothing new or
revolutionary about this effect or the principles, but it's
a simple, direct plot that works and is strong.

The 3" x 4" leather business card wallet is a wallet that
you could use everyday. Also, with some management, it can
be examined. However, it has a feature which this effect
exploits.

Besides the wallet, all you need are your business cards.
Write the words PHONE, KEYS, and WALLET on the blank side of
some cards. That's it. The cards can even be given away,
if you choose to do so. By the way, other words can be used
and Mason also explains how to use this with other
languages, as well.

There is one move involved in the effect, but it is more of
a timing movement than a sleight. And it's easy to do.
Also, the effect can be done surrounded and it can be re-set
instantly (provided you don't give away the cards, in which
case you just have to write the words on new ones).

I do have one minor consideration. There are two scenarios
that can play out. Both outcomes are the same, but the
routes to get there are slightly different. The longer
route (owners of this will know what I mean as I must be
vague here), which will happen about 20% of the time or less
according to Mason, is one may not appeal to some, but with
a little thought most working mentalists can easily figure
out ways to make this route better. I know that I did.
(Yes, I know this is vague, but it has to be.)

If you love effects using business cards, like I do, then
you'll like this little close-up gem. It's simple, direct,
and probably will become one of my favorite Dobson mentalism
routines. So, of course, I definitely recommend this.
