THE BLURB:
THE PHYSICAL MANIFESTATION OF A THOUGHT

Get ready for a blister trick that is unlike any other on
the market; the advantage of "Psionic" is that ESP symbols
are used in this version. By utilizing these shapes, you are
able to easily establish a very plausible psychic connection
with your spectator, convincing them that they have just
truly witnessed a paranormal event!

The "Psionic" gimmick is super-easy to use, and allows you
to cause any of the 5 standard ESP symbols to appear on your
finger. When dealing with the supernatural realm there are
infinite presentation possibilities.

Here's a sample of one of the many mind-blowing effects:
Display a stack of 5 ESP cards and explain to the spectator
that you are going to do a thought experiment. The spectator
shuffles the cards, and randomly selects one card to
memorize - there is no force. You explain about the power of
thought, and the subsequent energy exchanges that take place
within the brain whenever you have a thought. You then tell
the spectator that you are going to utilize the chemical and
energetic power of their thought, and attempt to divine the
symbol they chose. You enlighten your audience to the fact
that everyone possesses a third eye-also known as the "inner
eye" - however, not everyone has developed the ability to
use it. This third eye refers to the spot on the middle of
the forehead that leads to inner realms and spaces of higher
consciousness-including acts of ESP. You explain that you
would like to see if the spectator could use theirs; maybe
their third eye could PROJECT their thoughts! By touching
the spectator's forehead in the spot of their third eye, you
ask them to focus their thoughts to that area. Suddenly you
pullback from their head and request that they look at your
finger. When they gaze up they will see that the transferred
energy of their thought has eerily shifted itself onto your
fingertip-manifesting into the shape of their chosen ESP
symbol!

You can use business cards or pieces of paper with your own
hand-drawn symbols if you prefer - there is no force!

Comes with custom "Psionic" gimmick, ESP cards, ball chain
for optional key-ring attachment, and instructional DVD
complete with bonus presentation ideas.

Running Time Approximately: 30min

MY COMMENTS:
I'm sure that working mentalists know exactly what this is.
It is, indeed, another effect inspired by Jack Kent Tillar's
Blister. An earlier product by Jason Palter, 3RD DEGREE
BURN, involved a named playing card burned into the
fingertips. This one makes a bit more sense as it is now
one of five ESP symbols, which is closer to the Tillar's
original round shaped blister on one of five fingers, and
because ESP symbols fit more of the supernatural, mind power
theme.

I shouldn't need to describe the gimmick to working
mentalists as you could probably guess what it is. I will
say that in Palter's handling the gimmick is kept in the
pocket. It is made of plastic, flat, and very easy to use.
Also, as the blurb points out, you don't have to use the
included 5 ESP cards (which are the Royal brand) but
business cards or pieces of paper instead.

Most of the additional routines and ideas on the disc are
very basic. Most working mentalists won't get much out of
it. I will also note that Palter is unfamiliar with the
markings of the 5 ESP cards. He mentions the marks, but his
memory aides are far more difficult than they should be as
he apparently wasn't familiar with the 1 through 5 clockwise
sequence. (If you have the Royal ESP cards, you know what
I'm referring to.)

For the price, the package includes the gimmick, a ball
chain (to add to your keys), the ESP cards, and DVD which
includes 30 minutes of instruction and presentational ideas.
I think that for the working mentalist this is a better idea
than the 3RD DEGREE BURN (ESP symbols over playing cards).
The working mentalist is definitely buying this just for the
gimmick, which works, and is worth getting for a walkaround
or intimate routine for those who are interested in this.
