Nathan Kranzo
THE BLURB:
Nate Kranzo and Anatomy Magic have teamed up to bring you a lost classic of magic and mentalism. The Psychomatic deck is an extremely useful tool for the amateur and professional magician. Imagine being able to show a deck of cards to a spectator and mixing them so that they see that the cards are legitimately mixed. After the cards are mixed you hand them the deck of cards and asking them to peek at and remember any card they see and without a doubt KNOW the card they chose. With the Psychomatic deck you can this and so much more. While many gimmicked decks you are limited to only one effect. With the Psychomatic Deck you can perform ultra clean predictions, forces, tossed out deck routines or even use it as part of a bigger routine the possibilities are endless. The Psychomatic Deck requires no skill and come completely ready to perform as soon as you open the package. On the Psychomatic companion DVD Nate Kranzo teaches how to use this deck to its fullest potential so this is sure to make it as part of your normal repertoire. Includes gimmicked Bicycle Deck. Running Time Approximately: 27min MY COMMENTS: Both Nate Kranzo and the end credits crawl clearly point out this is nothing new and that they didn't create this at all. They are merely producing this deck for the convenience of mentalists and magicians, because it's been off the market for so long. In that, this product is certainly worthwhile. For those unfamiliar with this, it's essentially a variation of the Svengali deck. The DVD is irritatingly sloppy, though. Professionals will probably not need to waste their time with it. Most problematic is that Kranzo talks about a blank deck version where you can force any word or name, and a version using ones own business cards, but nowhere on this approximately thirty-minute disc is there an explanation about how to construct such a deck. Oh, one can figure it out, but there could have been tips to making a really good Psychomatic deck that will last and also function well. The routines are also pretty basic. Again, it is the gimmicked Bicycle deck that you are really purchasing. If you do a tossed out deck, or any kind of playing card effect in mentalism, this is certainly an item you'll want to have handy.
