MY COMMENTS:
Andy's material is always well thought-out and worth it.
The only thing I'll mention at this point is that Andy Nyman
will be releasing a brand new book published by Miracle
Factory, BULLET PROOF (which is not available yet at the
time of this writing), and it will contain all the material
from all of his lecture notes. It is a pricey book, but if
you can't wait, or know you can't afford the Miracle Factory
edition, the material in these notes is highly recommended.
Here's a brief rundown on the effects included:
Deep Red Prediction -
In this video themed effect, a film title and a four-digit
video membership club number is selected. Both are then
shown to be predicted by the performer.
Homicide -
A two-phase routine in which a participant cuts off a number
of cards and the performer can reveal exactly how many carts
were cut. Then, this repeated, only this time the bottom
card is looked at, and the performer reveals the name of the
card.
Take the Money & Run -
A participant secretly drops a coin in one of nine film
canisters and the performer can reveal which canister holds
the coin, what type of coin it is, and the year the coin was
minted.
Magician's Graphology -
Three participants make a drawing on the back of a business
card. The performer reveals who drew two pictures and then
reveals the third unseen picture.
No Way Out -
A watch, a wallet, and a coin are borrowed. The participant
selects one and the performer reveals an accurate prediction
of the choice.
Witness for the Prosecution -
The performer leaves the room while the audience decides on
a victim and how the victim was killed, a killer, and a
pocket to hold the weapon. When the performer returns, he
reveals all of this information.
The Fargo Principle -
An essay on lying to the audience.
The M.O.B. Billet Routine -
A three-billet routine in which three thoughts are written
down and then revealed by the performer.
