THE BLURB:
Countless Pros have tried every conceivable "Card to Wallet" out there and almost always end up using The Mullica Wallet. It's just hard to improve on perfection. You don't even need a deck! With Paul Harris' routine, you just borrow an ID card, and a moment later it's inside the zipped compartment of your back-pocket wallet! Our new sleek black leather worker's edition includes credit card slots, clear ID window and paper money section. It also features a special touch from Tommy Wonder: A gleaming gold zipper on the black leather that focuses all attention on the unzipped moment of astonishment. Even Paul Harris' video guy, Joe Russell, keeps a hip pocket Mullica in his back pocket. "Of all the cool magic I've shot for Paul, this is my absolute favorite. I've put all my normal wallet stuff into the Mullica and use it as my everyday wallet." Super easy to do. No palming! Includes Paul Harris' own Mullica wallet routines: * Signed card to wallet * License to astonish * Whack your pack * Flash fold: Where a signed business card appears folded inside your wallet No Palming! No folding moves! Starring your favorite DVD host, Joe Russell. Highest quality custom-made black leather wallet. Manufactured by Alan Wong. The Super Slim Hip Pocket Mullica. Built to Last. Designed to Astonish. MY COMMENTS: I think most know what a Mullica wallet is, but, for those who don't, it's an incredibly easy-to-perform, no-palm card-to-wallet. More specifically, the card appears in a wallet which inside a larger wallet. So, why is this a mentalism product? A mentalist can produce a billet from the wallet or let it hold any number of types of predictions. One can even put the prediction inside the wallet in full view and then reveal it later. I won't detail the workings of that, but experienced mentalists should know what I'm talking about. What's important is the wallet itself and how it differs from the standard Mullica wallet. Previously, the wallet was checkbook size and, since checks are fast becoming the way of the eight-track cassette and rotary dial phones, using a wallet that size is now quite suspicious. This one is hip-pocket size. Another difference is that the inner wallet has a zipper. It's a small gold-colored zipper. It doesn't lock, but that's not necessary. The zipper keeps it closed and makes it just that much more impossible. A lock would be overkill, anyway. Finally, though this may be obvious, is that the wallet was designed so that you could use this as an everyday wallet. Honestly, there are others that have more features that a mentalist can use, but there are times when a Mullica wallet can be just the utility prop you need for a certain routine. On the DVD, Joe Russell demonstrates quite a few routines. They are all magic routines and probably of no interest or consequence to the mentalist. However, if you're unfamiliar with the use of the wallet, then it's worth a look. Since I just got this and haven't put it to much use, I can't say how long the wallet will last or how durable the zipper is. For now, they work. Everything looks and feel great. The package, which comes in a DVD case, includes the wallet and the DVD instructions. There is no question that if you're looking for a Mullica wallet, this is the one to get and to replace that outdated checkbook style one.
