THE BLURB:
The performer invites a spectator to embark on a magical journey that will use time. A small packet of cards is introduced which depict different times on a clock face. The performer asks the spectator to pick one of the cards which is a completely free choice. Once the selection has been chosen, the performer will attempt to deduce the correct time. Now for the exciting conclusion as the performer announces that he believes he knows what time the spectator has chosen. He reveals it to be 100% accurate. This can be repeated as well. Time Keeper is a fantastic effect and can also be used as a mentalism piece or a magical mystery. Comes with the instructional DVD and custom printed time cards. The DVD also gives you several different performances in which you can borrow a wind up wrist watch or a pocket watch. MY COMMENTS: I must say that I am extremely impressed by this. When I opened the package and looked through the cards, I couldn't figure out anything at all. They looked just like two dozen drawings of clocks with random times. I thought perhaps the backs were marked, but the backs are plain white. The basic effect is that a time is chosen, or, more specifically, a card with a time on it is chosen. The performer reveals that time. Now, the card certainly can be forced, but that's not what's clever about these cards. Unfortunately, I can't tell you what that is, but I can give you a big tip. Think of these cards as a clock, or time, version of a Mental Pictoria deck or Simon Shaw's DIRECTOR'S CUT. For the professional, that will probably say everything. Sure, you're limited to the theme of time, but that doesn't limit this too much. One can still do quite a bit with these cards which are handsomely produced. My one gripe is that it did not come with a vinyl card folder, or anything like that, to hold he cards, but those are easy enough to obtain. Besides the two dozen cards (which are standard playing card size), one also gets the fifteen minute instructional DVD (approx. time) that contains several different routines you can use with these cards. Definitely recommended.
